Biography

Rod Ray graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s in chemical engineering in 1979. He is the president and chief operating officer of Bend Research Inc., where he has worked since 1983. He also holds a master’s degree and PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

At Bend Research, Ray has held numerous positions, specializing in the development and commercialization of membrane products and process development for pharmaceutical dosage forms. He holds numerous U.S. patents and has nearly 40 publications.

Ray also serves as chief executive officer of Bend Research Pharmaceutical Process Development, Inc., which produces clinical, toxicology, and development pharmaceutical supplies for Pfizer. He has served on several professional and community boards and is currently an executive board member for the Mount Bachelor Ski Education Foundation and for the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic of the Cascades.
